Jan 07, 2015 #WomanCrushWednesday - Danielle Chabassol Happy 2015 everyone! In only seven days this year has shown enormous potential as a time for positive change; Fat Girl Food Squad co-founders Ama and Yuli have already found themselves on the cover of Now Magazine’s Love Your Body issue and there is no sign of the body positivity movement slowing down anytime soon. Humans everywhere are making resolutions to appreciate and make peace with their bodies, abandoning the traditional shame-fest that often happens when January kicks in. Honestly I’m not much for new year resolutions, opting to be more of a weekly revelation/wave of panic or joy/vow to make instant changes kind of gal if that makes any sense. It works a lot of the time. Lately though, I’ve been acting on the urge to let go of my trinkets and clothes, embracing simplicity, reducing my consumerism and focusing on quality over quantity and it feels so right. One of the matches for this fire came from fantastic warrior lady, Danielle Chabassol. This babe practices the most minimal of minimal lifestyles, she is constantly on the road, connecting with nature, eating vegan, focusing on quality time over work time and ALL of her possessions fit in a knapsack. She recently started Exploring Alternatives, a blog about her life and travels with husband Mat and I can’t get enough of their Instagram photos and YouTube videos. It’s amazing to see these two living out of a van, being actual DIY wizards and taking the most gorgeous pictures of their travels - at this moment they are log cabin-sitting in the magical wilderness of the Pacific Northwest. Big love to Danielle (and Mat) for challenging basically everything society thinks a young married couple should be doing and enjoying every minute of it.
