Blog / instagram
Just a quick note to say that there are some really awesome things coming up for Ursa Major+ this season and I've decided to create a separate Instagram account for store posts and keep rolling out my personal, blogger stuff here. You can expect first dibs on one of a kind vintage, sales, giveaways, fat babe photoshoots and more! xo
Five-ish years ago I was in a bit of a fear-induced limbo. I had a jewellery line that was doing well on Etsy but I was struggling with the inevitable debt I would incur going back to school for fashion design while also coming to the realization that my entrepreneurial goals would mean making some crazy sacrifices for it all to work. The stress! I was deep in an Etsy procrastination hole when I came across a video they did as part of the “There’s No Place Like Here” series, which featured artists in their home studios being bosses of life and getting shit done. This one highlighted creative (and out of this world adorable) couple Shauna Alterio and Stephen Loidolt, who not only had the cutest studio in history but they were working their asses off making a living on their wares. Since then these two have launched Forage Haberdashery, a line of accessories that are all handmade (by these two) from gorgeous deadstock textiles and a letterpress business is in the works, all while they’ve been raising their toddler Sawyer and another baby is on the way.
Shauna is a supermom and a cool babe, she’s totally been a source of life inspo for me annndddd I’m going to stop gushing now, go check out her stuff!
I'm going to be adding more personal style content and talking vintage and beauty with babes from all over the place here on the blog, but I'm also always posting up a storm on the Ursa Major+ Instagram account. Swing by and see what I'm up to on the daily, get sneak peeks of new vintage for the store and check out some of the other projects I'm working on (plus selfies of course!).
Since I've been an unreliable blogger lately, I thought I would catch everyone up on the ugly faces I've been making, cat pictures I've been taking and various other moments from the last little while.

Experimenting with body chains - what do you think, ladies?
Ron and I decided to spend a weekend making a stop-motion short about a cactus. We spent most of the time doing weird faces at each other instead.
Salad jarring for life!
I am the luckiest girl in the world.
And some outfit posts too!
